Our Lady of Fatima – 100th Anniversary – The Holy Rosary

The apparition of an angel and Our Lady to three poor children in Fatima, Portugal in the early 20th century is one of the most famous miracles in the Catholic world.

The children received many messages, mostly calling for personal conversion and prayer, as well as the words of 5 new prayers.

The first prayer is one many Catholics are likely already familiar with, but the other 4 are not as well-known.

Here are the 5 prayers given to the children at Fatima:

1) The Fatima Prayer/Decade Prayer

โ€œO my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen.โ€
Mary told the children that people should add this prayer to the end of each decade of the Rosary.

2) The Pardon Prayer

โ€œMy God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee! I beg pardon for all those that do not believe, do notadore, do not hope and do not love Thee.โ€
This prayer was given to the children by the angel that visited them in 1916, the year before Mary appeared to them.

3) The Angelโ€™s Prayer

โ€œO Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary I beg the conversion of poor sinners.โ€
This is another prayer given to them by the angel. There was a Eucharistic host and chalice suspended in the air, and the angel led them in kneeling before it and praying this prayer.

4) The Eucharistic Prayer

โ€œMost Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament.โ€
When Mary appeared to the children for the first time on May 13, 1917, she said, โ€œYou will have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your comfort.โ€

According to Lucia, one of the children, a bright light shone all around them, and without thinking about it, they all started reciting this prayer.

5) The Sacrifice Prayer

โ€œO Jesus, it is for the love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for the conversion of poor sinners [that I do this].โ€

Mary gave the children this prayer, as well as the Fatima Prayer/Decade Prayer, on June 13th, 1917. The prayer is meant to be recited when you are offering up suffering to God.
So get praying!

Share these prayers to world. May the prayers touch and change many hearts.. ๐Ÿ˜‡

      1. But there is a Hell. The Pope might want to broaden his perspectives. If there is no Hell, would the sacrifice of Jesus still make sense? What would the purpose be?

      2. Hell is not the point. Everyone has their own views. If things like hell’ are meant has an inner meaning and that is needed for change the wrong ones and good ones to stay in goodness. Nothing wrong in it. Jesus Christ died for our sins and make us heir of heaven by shedding his own blood for all the people in this world. Now its upto us.. To do good and go heaven in peace nor suffer for our sins. Never argue or keep anger for anyone in heart. Who ever it is.. Let them say any matter. We just take goodness and neglect the worst. And be happy โ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ

      3. What a human chooses to believe doesn’t make it true. Hell is a literal truth and it would be very unloving not to draw people away from it. The problem is that everyone has an opinion but few deal with fact. Fact is that one needs to accept Jesus as King, then follow and obey. To most, His death & resurrection will prove ultimately pointless because their opinions differ, causing them to follow their own selfish ways. Have your spirit left your body? Mine did, I know what I saw, which is why I am saying what I am.

  1. Fatima is a very beautyful place to go and pray. The basilic is gorgeous. If you go there as a pilgrim yiu can even have a bed for free.
Another nice to go is the little fatima in the amalfi coast where they built a nice church standing on the top of a cliff. It’s a wonderfull experience to sleep there and to wake up facing th bright sea.
Thanks for sharing this word, as a non religious person I still think that word of prayer can be powerfull. As see fransiscan monk “Pace e Bene”.

  2. Every day I used to visit chapel in the evening after the rosary..being a momedin..i used to recite a ‘hail mary’..those days were just awesome..you did well. Do more like this one..๐Ÿค—

  3. So true. Keep going. You are welcome. Sure you can. ‘ll remember from next time. Have a good night.๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Thank you,

    Hi,

I am sincerely Christian, I write (try strongly) , and most of my blog posts are spiritual (NOT OF ANY RELIGION).

I pray in my mind, to Jesus, and Father, and Holy Spirit – morning & evening: the Roman Catholic “Morning Offering” coupled to: Our Lady, Saint Mary, prayer. I am impressed, your “Fatima’ is well-composed, carries weight of knowledge, good stuff.

I read “Ant Dream’. I shall be a critic… you in everywhere Arabia? Islam? Hebrew Jews? Abram? UR Wizard? Adam & Eve? Satan? Flower Child? Afganistan? Israel? Beelzebub?” all of this – is too long. When humans – delete words, the less-important “stuff” – to explain, the human – shifts to stronger, more intense word choosing.

What as a writer, a scribe, is to create a spear – with an iron tip point – GET TO THE POINT IN FAR FEWER WORDS.

My poetry is composed of perhaps, 9 lines to 30 or so lines – an odd, catchy title. Begin with 22 lines of intense thought – compressing, editing, deleteing, forces the writer, to explain but in FEWER words – ALWAYS GET TO YOUR POINT.

GET IN, Deliver the Point, GET OUT

    Thanks, an old American conclusion:
